At Starlight, the headliners are Joan Diener, the original Aldonza on Broadway (she is also the director’s wife), and David Holliday, a Broaday veteran who has played the part many times before. The Broadway-bound production is to star Raul Julia and Grammy-winning pop singer Sheena Easton in her stage debut. This will give Marre an idea of how things will work,” a Starlight spokeswoman said. Leigh and Marre will be here, in part, for a chance to “try it out. Hersey has been the lighting designer for National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and West End productions, as well as opera at the English National Opera (among others) and ballet at the Royal Ballet. David Hersey was born in Rochester, New York and attended Oberlin College.
